I can remember getting pimples beginning in the 7th or 8th grade, like many people. All through middle school, high school, and college, they would show up unwelcome! And even into my adult life today, I still get the occasional zit or two, or the dreaded blind pimples, though they’re all far rarer now.
Fortunately, I’ve never had true cystic acne or anything, never had to get prescription medication or anything like that. But every person whose had even one pimple and had to go to school, work, an interview, or just hanging out with friends and family, knows the feeling. That feeling of everyone seeing it (whether they really do or not), and our thought that they’re judging us on it. Hopefully many people just look past it, as we’ve all struggled with pimples before, but it’s hard as a person to just ignore the blemishes on my face!
Feeling tired of being depressed and less confident because of these little monsters on my face, I set out to find what would help me get rid of pimples. It can be tough in the beginning because you’re wondering, “Is my diet causing it? Working out and sweating? Am I just prone to oily skin?” and all these other different reasons. It was a long journey, but it was a personal one and a much needed one. Once I found what worked for me, I felt a lot more in control of my pimple treatment as well as preventing them in the first place.
