i used to horrible cyctic acne growing up, but it has since tamed down because I use the Shielo Complexion Moisturizer. I do not even get breakouts - you really should try it.

this product stops them and the price is great, considering it actually works.

highly recommended.

Hello Mrs. Virginia,
There is no "cure", but there is definitely something that your daughter's dermatologist can do. I occasionally get cystic acne (on my chin only- have two right now). The dermatologist can shoot the bumps with a medication that can shrink them. They usually go away n 4-5 days after the shot. Depending on the severity of your daughter's acne, she may need to get tested for hormonal imbalances. Cystic acne in women in general is a flag for a hormone issue. Also, acne below the nose (around the mouth and chin area) is also an indicator that a hormonal conern may be present. I had tests run, and I was OK; however, this is my second span of cystic acne in less than 5 months. I'm getting my hormones rechecked. I (and your daughter) may have to take birth control to regulate hormones. Wish u well.

My 31 year old daugter has what I think may be cyctic acne. The bumps under her skin never erupt. They are unsightly. I approached the subject as gently as possble with her, asking her to see a dermatologist, but she said nothing could be done. I think she saw a doctor once and was offered a drug that she felt was too risky for the severity of the disease. I did not mention to her another concern I have. She bathes daily and washes her hair daily but, frankly, her sheets and occasionally her clothing smell. Her shirts have brown stains under the arms although she uses deodorant. Is it possible that she has some endocrine problem? If you can give me any reason to do so, I will ask her to see a endochronologist. But the subject is too emotional to risk mentioning if there is no likelihood there is a connection.
