Home Remedies for Pimples

So, you’re about to go to bed, and you realize you’ve forgotten to get to the store for your acne medication, or you’re waiting for your order from the internet to arrive.

You’ll probably need some home remedies for pimples to tide you over. You may be surprised at what you find in your home that can help…you may even want to switch to home remedies permanently!

First, try a nightly rose steam. Take fresh rose petals and steep them in a bowl of very hot water. Hold your face over the bowl and drape your head with a small towel.

Not only will you experience some very soothing aromatherapy, the nightly opening of your pores will help keep them from closing in on themselves, becoming clogged, and forming zits.

An aspiring mask is an intriguing approach to skin care, and one of the more inventive home remedies for pimples. Crush six to eight uncoated aspirin tablets in a bowl and combine them with a few drops of warm water or honey.

Spread the mixture over your face and relax for about fifteen minutes. When the mask starts flaking off, carefully massage it off with a gentle cleanser, and pat your face dry. Use this mask/scrub a couple of times a week as a great exfoliant.

A well-known zit-zapper is toothpaste (non-whitening, and not a gel). Put a dab of toothpaste, or calamine lotion, on your bothersome pimple before you go to bed. It will help dry the zit up while you sleep, and your pimple will be less noticeable in the morning.

The most effective home pimple preventative is plain old water. Not on the skin, but under it!

If you ever get the chance to be a fly on the wall at a photo shoot or runway show, you might notice that the models are almost never without water to drink. Drinking your full eight glasses of water each day goes a long way toward keeping your skin clear.

Of course, none of these home remedies for pimples is a proven scientific approach to acne control or treatment. Many are “old wives’” remedies…it’s up to you to figure out which ones will work best for you.

If you want a more permanent, yet natural way of getting rid of your pimples and keeping them from coming back I highly recommend you try Acnezine.

It is not the average skin care product you’ll find at the store, this goes way beyond that, which makes it our highest recommended acne product. Plus, you can get up to a 2 month supply for free. Click here to read more.
